n|Frame is one of the only SAS 70 compliant data centers in Indiana

n|Frame has achieved its Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 Type II compliance, making it one of the only data centers in Indiana to complete the exhaustive, six-month evaluation. The independent audit was conducted by the public accounting and consulting firm Crowe Chizek and Company LLC. The firm evaluated and tested n|Frame's internal operational controls and processes.

Specifically, the audit focused on n|Frame's physical security, environmental controls, network and operational controls and employee training. SAS 70 Type II is an auditing standard used by service organizations to disclose their internal controls and security practices to their clients and assist those clients as they evaluate their vendor's compliance to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Several multi-national companies house their sensitive financial data, which is subject to SOX review, in n|Frame's commercial data center. By completing the SAS 70 audit, n|Frame can offer third-party verification of its significant control practices and operational procedures, allowing its clients to better meet the stringent qualifications for SOX compliance.

Conducting a comprehensive SAS 70 audit requires substantial financial and time investments, but n|Frame considered the review a mandatory aspect of its continuing commitment to process improvement.
